SHORT THOUGHTS: When I read the verse Genesis 50:20 from the story of Joseph...it just reiterates to me loud and clear that we never, ever really know what God is up to. We might think we do at times but really...we just don't have a clue. It is so much bigger than us and our humanly view.
There are things in this life that make some kind of sense to me and many, many things that do not and probably won't on this side of eternity.
I think that some things in life we will see play out and make sense looking through the lens of this world and some things will play out and make sense looking through the lens of eternity. What is clear is that WE do not and cannot see the big picture, the finished product. We see a couple pieces of the puzzle at best while God made the cover of the box, the box, all of the pieces and already has the big picture complete. We just move along each day of our lives putting in one piece of the puzzle after another.
Our thoughts are not His thoughts and our ways are not His ways. Isaiah 55:8-9 also makes this crystal clear.
So with that great news, instead of smashing our heads against a wall trying to figure it all out and make sense of it all...maybe we should try trusting the ONE who knows and controls it all, past, present and future. Maybe we should try to be content with living in the "right now," keep moving forward and continue working on our life puzzle, one piece at a time. If we can do this, I believe that in time, we will begin to see that everything is working out in God's perfect timing.

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, ”declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
