RANDOM THOUGHTS: I have been thinking...yes, I know you told me not to do that. But still, I have been thinking. :) And what I was thinking about is if my last name was "Cline." Yes, I know this very deep so brace yourself.
I thought it would be cool to be able to name my kids if my last name was Cline and I have a few perfect name ideas for particular kinds of kids.
So if I had a kid who was very hard headed, a child that would not listen to a single word my wife and I told them, I real born rebel...I would have to name that child, Dee Cline.

RANDOM THOUGHTS: So, I discovered last night that I am no longer "slim." Yes, yes, it's true. I went and bought the exact pants that the groom men are wearing for my daughter, Kendra's wedding so I could match. I saw that they had 34x34 and I was jazzed. I also noticed it said, "slim" on the tag and my mind lied to me and said, "Sure, you are still a 'slim' buddy."
I thought I had my clothes all worked out until I thought maybe that I should try things on.

SHORT THOUGHTS: When I read the verse Genesis 50:20 from the story of Joseph...it just reiterates to me loud and clear that we never, ever really know what God is up to. We might think we do at times but really...we just don't have a clue. It is so much bigger than us and our humanly view.
There are things in this life that make some kind of sense to me and many, many things that do not and probably won't on this side of eternity.

SHORT THOUGHTS: Our great God is personal and cares about and knows every detail of our lives. He uses everything in our lives to talk to us right where we are at. If we are listening, we hear Him. But even when we are not listening, He is still there speaking to us, reaching out to us...always working on our behalf...always waiting for us to turn towards Him. Like the father in the story of the prodigal son, He is always watching and waiting for our return, waiting for us to respond, no matter where we are at or where we have been.

JOURNAL: This past summer, my wife, Denice and I did a lot of work up in Cascade, Idaho. You see, we bought a half acre of property up there to have a place to camp and be able to keep our travel trailer on and setup, as much of the year as possible. It is a lot of wear and tear on our travel trailer as well as our truck and also on me, to pull the trailer back and forth the eighty some miles to and then back home from our camping spots every time we decide to go camping. So this chunk of land was a great thing for us for sure and it was so much nicer to just have it al

RANDOM UPDATE: So yesterday, I took Denice to work in our truck. Not because it had continued to snow but rather, because the warmer, above freezing weather was melting some of the snow and some of the streets were getting pretty deep in water and slushy, snowy mess.

RANDOM THOUGHTS: I just got done listening to a commercial for a new drug. At the end of the commercial, it listed all the side effects which like normal, were many. Then it said you could not use it if you had an organ transplant.
I turned to my lovely wife, Denice, and said that I had not ever had an organ transplant but that I had moved our piano twice now. She agreed by just saying yes, we had. But I don't think she even cracked a smile.

SHORT THOUGHTS: Not all things are meant to be held together as they might have always been. Sometimes we have to let things go and let things become whatever they become.
We may want and see something a certain way in our lives but that does not mean what we see and want is what is best. Sometimes God’s best for us looks very difference…wait…almost always…God’s best for us looks very different than what we think it should look like.

RANDOM THOUGHTS: So this morning after coming in and filling up my water bottle, I promptly knocked it over and tried unsuccessfully to catch it and it ended up clanking (metal) a couple times on it's way to falling off my desk and into my garbage can. When this happened, I had headphones on and was listening to the news. While I continued listening to the news, I began to clean up the little bit of water that had spilled along with some of my tea that I spilled trying to not let my water bottle spill.
